Great service. Great food..nice lake view

Nice place with view of White lake and outdoor seating in the warmer weather. Food is good with many healthy choices. Home made desserts are very good. Small wine list with some good selections but a little overpriced. Service is always good. Judy, the owner, is always a gracious hostess.

Not sure what "fruit fly guy" was talking about, from the summer. Putting in 5 stars, to counter-attack his stupid review of a genuinely beloved local restaurant. I couldn't flag his clap-trap only because he wasn't profane. But his experience, if it is to be believed, is not the norm. I suspect a troll....

Delicious food, reasonable price, and a beautiful view! I got the veggie burger and fries, which were nice and crispy like I requested! My friend got the salmon tacos, which he said were amazing!

Wonderful service, good beer, PEI mussels.orderred main course after appetizers so due to local concert waitress said 45 mins. No problem food came in 45 mins. Great.Local grass fed beef burger, very nice cooked perfectly to medium rare.

Great food and location. Cafe has a rear deck which is next to the lake and diners can watch geese swim by when they weren't caging crumbs. The place is noisy, but great for kid's. Service was excellent.

My Wife and I stopped in last Saturday afternoon and ate on the upper deck. The atmosphere was very low key and mellow, which for us, was perfect. The menu was so simple we didn't know what to expect but the food was OUTSTANDING. I always wondered what critics mean when they say the flavor exploded in their mouth. Now l know. It's a 2 hour motorcycle ride for us, but we are definitely going back this weekend.

Very nice, friendly staff. Plain inside but has a great deck on the lake for nice days! Overpriced. My steak was about half fat! Awful. No apology or anything. A table of four is served a bread basket containing four slices of bread...really? At an average of $30 per entree, you shouldn't need to ask and wait for "extra" bread.

Always a consistently great meal made with fresh ingredients. Spectacular view and superb music.

Terrible service, waitresses had no idea what they were doing, spent 3 hrs there waiting for our food. Over priced, with flies everywhere and fly traps hanging above our table. Less than 1 star in my opinion. Absolutely disgusting.

We liked it. It was a bit slow.... I don't recommend the bloody Mary, it was not good. but the food was very good.

No clue why that guy freaked out about the place... a week later than his had a beautiful quiet evening on the deck, Attentive service and pretty good food. I did 5 stars to make up for the pathetic troll's comments

LOOOOVED this place. The food is exceptional. The view of the lake is beautiful. The service was great. Nothing for me to complain about (and I usually can find something to complain about). Go this place is excellent. The food is fresh and offers grass fed meats and a lot of organic items. They have the best homemade cakes served with homemade whipped cream!Yum!!! . Everything was delish, I almost licked my plate!

Great food, good drink selection. Attentive staff. We happened to have our dog with us we were accommodated. Dog was provided with a water dish and a small plate of snacks. Stunning water front scenery. Worth the trip.

Tues night not so busy but very inattentive waitress. Lots of water was offered throughout dinner but our order of two beers were totaly forgotten about after asking a few times finally they showed up. The bill had an upcharge of $4:00 for two California Burgers that we were not made aware of by the waitress when ordering. Sneaky charges don't go down well with any customer.

Nice setting on the lake with good service and good food. Featuring the Beyond Meat burger and doing it well was a nice find. Service can be slow during busy weekends, but well worth enjoying the view while waiting.

Excellent location by the lake with beautiful views. Great vegetarian options. Friendly staff. A slight detour to get here but it's totally worth the view and the food.

The deck was cramped. One server was working the deck. Food was good, however, ordered the lamb chops and they were more like baby lamb chops.

Service was slow. Ordered a medium well done steak and a well done burger. Waited 45 minutes. Both came out rare. No apologies. Won't return.

Best crab bisque my husband and I have ever eaten. Followed by a scrumptious meal of stuffed flounder, grilled summer squash and zuccini and the most delicious mashed potatoes ever. The food is divine, the view not to be missed and the service right on target. The entire dining experience there is wonderful. Don't miss this nugget by the lake. Great dining at reasonable prices.

DISGUSTING, the Owner kicked 4 hungry kids out, because , the service dog was crying and bothering only one customer. Didn't care, my friend has service dog's ID. When my friend, told her it's against the law , she told us she doesn't care about the law, it's her restaurant and she doesn't, what ever she wants. We saw a guy who complained about the dog afterwards and he said he was very happy watching us leaving. 4 HUNGRY kids, couldn't understand why can't they eat. Thank you Fat Lady Cafe, extremely hospitable.

You can't find many places better than the Fat Lady in the area. Always consistently great food and atmosphere!

Food was delicious. We had brunch. Eggs Benedict was really good. A bit pricey but fresh real food. Views are spectacular. A bit slow but everything is cooked to order. The pancakes come without the eggs on top...that was my husbands special order. Threw the kitchen staff but they did what he asked.

The Fat Lady sits lakeside on lovely Kauneonga Lake and is a great place for a lunch or dinner. Full service bar, nice salads and sandwiches, friendly service, prices reasonable. OwnerJudy is happy to chat and give history, local info, or anything else you may want to know. One of our favorite spots on the lake.

Absolutely wonderful service & food, only complaint is they only had one order of softshell crabs left, they were awesome, as was the clam chowder, beet salad n ribeye. Fresh everything.

Fantastic service and a great family atmosphere. The food was outstanding (especially the shimp pasta and the french onion soup special. Even the music was a great touch. Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful view of the lake, this is a restaurant with great atmosphere, friendly waiters and great food. Kid friendly! I highly recommend The Fat Lady Cafe.

Owner lady acts very obnoxious, disrespectful to customers. We came in as a family group before 10 PM. She yelled to waiter in front of customers to rush to take order before 10 PM because kitchen cook is too tired and can take order 9nly before 10 PM! Waiters are nice. Food was good. Only Owner spoils the whole experience.

Great food . Friendly. Love this place. Can be a little rigid about ordering dinner items for lunch (i.e Fried Calamari).

One of my favorite places to go. Food is always delicious. Great selection too. Good selection of wines, homemade desserts which are always fresh and delicious. Sitting out on the deck with a glass of wine,salmon tacos and peach cake is a bit of paradise.

Service was terrific and most importantly, the food was delicious. My shrimp tacos were plentiful and tasty and my wife’s whole Branzino was outstanding. Fourth time we’re here and love it.

I love the food and it is great to hang out on the deck and look out on the lake. Great Fourth of July viewing.

Great food. Always fresh seafood and inventive specials. The proprietress is a hoot and a half. YUM! Highly recommend.
